Paris Jackson brings totally unexpected date to glitzy red carpet affair
Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, graced the star-studded Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS in Beverly Hills on Thursday, looking absolutely stunning. The 25-year-old turned heads in a shimmering sleeveless champagne gown with a thigh-high split. However, it was her unconventional red carpet companion that threatened to steal the show. Standing by her side as she posed for photographers was her Doberman Pinscher named Koa, a fierce yet undeniably sweet canine. Koa even sported a matching dark-champagne hued handkerchief around his neck, complementing his mom’s glamorous attire.
While some might perceive Koa’s presence as a quirky publicity stunt, there may be a more serious reason behind it: security. Just last month, an intruder entered the backyard of Paris’s L.A.-area home, as reported by TMZ. Although Paris wasn’t at home at the time, a friend on the premises confronted the intruder, who has allegedly been stalking Paris for years, and called the police. By the time the authorities arrived, the intruder had vanished, and fortunately, no one was harmed. Nonetheless, this recent incident appears to have prompted Paris to enhance her security measures.
Regardless of the reasons, it’s clear that both Paris and Koa thoroughly enjoyed their A-list evening of mingling and entertainment at the Elizabeth Taylor Ball. The fundraising gala, sponsored by Gilead Sciences and Bulgari Diamonds, was hosted by Hollywood power couple Courtney Vance and Angela Bassett and featured a captivating performance by Gladys Knight. Notable attendees included Samuel L. Jackson, Kathy Hilton, actress Jennifer Tilly, Christine Chiu from “Bling Empire,” as well as the night’s honorees, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Cookie Johnson.
Paris has been an ambassador for the organization for several years, carrying on her late father Michael Jackson’s legacy of closeness with Elizabeth Taylor.
Meanwhile, her brother Prince, aged 25, recently reminisced about their unique upbringing as the children of the world-famous pop star. In an interview, he described it as “very, very interesting,” and as he’s grown older, he has come to appreciate how truly unique and fascinating their childhood was. They were raised on the Neverland Ranch in California, a place that featured a mini amusement park and a collection of zoo animals, including elephants, tigers, lions, and various primates.
Prince also shared his father’s early love for animals, mentioning that his first pets were two rats. As Michael Jackson’s success grew, so did his ability to acquire more exotic animals.
Despite appearing flawless at Thursday’s event, with her tattoos proudly on display in her skin-baring dress, Paris Jackson has been open about her struggles with accepting perceived imperfections about her body and appearance. In an Instagram post, she expressed love for her body, including her belly, stretch marks, butt, and scars, embracing both her own and others’ unique beauty.
