One summer, the talented dancer enjoyed the company of two siblings, Marabeth and Sharee, along with their mother, Mariann, as they soaked up the sun. Fans couldn’t help but notice their striking resemblance in a photo Julianne posted on her Instagram Stories.
Julianne has three sporty sisters, including Sharee, who is a flight attendant and a dance and fitness instructor, and Marabeth, a real estate agent with a passion for dancing. Their other sister, Katherine, is a makeup artist and actress. While Julianne doesn’t often feature her sisters in her posts, she has collaborated with her brother, Derek Hough, on various projects over the years. Derek, like Julianne, is a professional dancer and currently serves as a judge on DWTS, while Julianne hosts the show alongside Alfonso Ribeiro.
Julianne and Derek’s journey started in Utah, where they grew up with their three other siblings before moving to London to attend the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. During their time in London, they lived with dance coaches Corky and Shirley Ballas, who are the parents of fellow DWTS pro Mark Ballas. Derek emphasized that their parents saw an amazing opportunity in their decision to let them pursue dance, a choice that played a pivotal role in their careers.
