Nicki Minaj Asks Fans to ‘Never Threaten’ Anyone on Her Behalf: ‘I Don’t and Never Condoned That’
On December 8, the rapper will release her eagerly awaited new album, “Pink Friday 2.”
Nicki Minaj wants her devoted Barbz to know something.
The 40-year-old Queen of Rap addressed her followers on social media on Sunday, pleading with them to “never threaten anyone” on her behalf, according to Revolt and screenshots taken by supporters from her since-closed Instagram Story.
The “Super Bass” rapper took to her Instagram Story to share a short note addressing her fans’ behavior. “Dear Barbz,” the rapper wrote, “Don’t ever threaten anyone on my behalf.”
He continued, “Either online or in person. Either jokingly or not. I do not condone it and I have never condoned it.”
The superstar then reminded her followers that her long-awaited new album, Pink Friday 2, is coming soon. “We have an amazing album right around the corner on 12/08/23,” he shared. “It feels so surreal and euphoric.”
“I wish you blessings upon blessings,” the rapper concluded.

Minaj did not elaborate on why she made the statement at this time. However, it seems as if she was referring to the expected response from her fans to her upcoming new record.
As Revolt reports, Barbz’s social media use almost led to a lawsuit against Minaj.
Last year, a report by The Daily Beast revealed that YouTuber and pop culture commentator Kimberly Nicole Foster threatened legal action against the hip-hop star after a critical post on X (formerly known as Twitter) drew violent threats from fans.
Minaj’s highly anticipated fifth studio album will be released on December 8th. Late last month, the “Barbie World” artist revealed in an Instagram Live that she was changing the release date for a second time from November 17 to December 8, both on her birthday and to accommodate the vinyl release.
In her video to fans she said: “The new album date for this incredible project that I am so proud of is a very special day for me and the Barbz. Pink Friday 2, I am very happy to announce that it will be released on my birthday, December 8th.
The hitmaker added: “I’m so excited about it because, as you know, it’s been a long time coming.”
After talking about how she had “writer’s block” following the release of her 2018 album Queen, she teased Pink Friday 2 as the project she’s “never been so in love with in [her] life.” The Grammy-nominated rapper said: “This whole album is going to be the greatest gift I’ve ever given to humanity so far. I can stand on that. I’ll bet any amount of money that his Pink Friday 2 album will make people fall in love instantly.”
The rapper known as “Super Freaky Girl” disclosed on social media in June that her next album would be a sequel to her groundbreaking 2010 album Pink Friday. At that time, he also disclosed that the project, which had an October 20th completion date, would really end on November 17th.
The celebrity has given fans a taste of Pink Friday 2 since formally announcing it, offering her tune “Last Time I Saw You” and giving a sneak peek at an unreleased song when performing at the 2023 MTV VMAs.
