David Furnish shares rare glimpse inside family life with Elton John and kids
The celebrated “Crocodile Rock” artist, Sir Elton John, and his husband David Furnish, are parents to two children, and David recently offered a rare glimpse into their private family life.
On a Tuesday, the 61-year-old took to Instagram to share an endearing picture of their pet Labrador, Jacob, who donned a vibrant orange jacket with the words, “I do tricks for treats,” adding a touch of charm to the snapshot. Jacob turned his head toward the camera while sitting obediently, presumably in front of their family home.
In the caption, David posted a heartfelt message from the entire family, wishing everyone a “Happy Hallowe’en from the Furnish-John family” along with pumpkin and ghost emojis, mentioning Sir Elton John as well.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement in the comments section. One admirer sweetly wrote, “Jacob dressed up! I hope he gets some treats and no nasty tricks this evening,” while another added, “Puppy eyes say it all! Happy Halloween!”
A third fan observed, “Happy Halloween to you all. Love your doggie’s coat,” and a fourth commented, “Omg too cute for words.”
Apart from Jacob, the beloved Lab, the Furnish-John family consists of David, Elton, and their two children, along with two additional adorable dogs.
Back in July, David joyfully introduced the newest members of their family, French bulldogs Regine and Nicole, through a caption that read: “Here we grow again. Meet the two newest additions to the Furnish-John family – Regine and Nicole.”
Their devoted fans flooded the comments with heartwarming messages. One fan noted, “They are the sweetest cuddliest pups!” while another remarked, “Those babies are getting large! And have grown very quickly.”
A third admirer expressed, “So totally gorgeous, wishing you endless happy days together,” and a fourth added, “So sweet and the names are equally fitting!!!”
Sir Elton and David, who officially wed in 2014, celebrated the birth of their first son, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, via surrogate in December 2010. They chose surrogacy through the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California, reportedly compensating the surrogate, whose identity remains confidential, for giving birth to their first child. Just three years later, they welcomed their second son, Elijah, using the same surrogate.
Following the arrival of their second son, Sir Elton expressed, “Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable.
In 2016, the “Cold Heart” singer offered a glimpse into his fatherhood journey during an interview on the Today Show, stating, “That was the greatest decision I’ve made — well — we’ve made, in the last six years, is to have those boys… Our primary concern. They’re the things that come first and foremost.”
