Gwen Stefani’s teenage son asks for support as he follows in famous parents footsteps
Gwen Stefani’s eldest son, Kingston, is rapidly coming of age and displaying a growing interest in following in the footsteps of his famous parents.
At the age of 17, Kingston has established his own band, named King, and recently created an Instagram account for it. He took to his Instagram Stories over the weekend, sharing a sneak peek of the account along with a message urging his fans to follow: “@king.band. Follow it.”
It comes as no surprise that Kingston has ventured into the world of music, given his lineage, with Gwen Stefani as his mother and Gavin Rossdale, the frontman of Bush, as his father. Moreover, his upbringing has also been influenced by country music, courtesy of his stepfather, the award-winning country star, Blake Shelton.
With Kingston turning 18 next year, he’ll likely embark on his college journey and further establish his independence.
While Gwen and Gavin have largely shielded their children from the limelight during their formative years, they occasionally share glimpses of their family on their social media accounts and at public events. For instance, in May, Kingston and his younger brothers, Zuma (15) and Apollo (nine), joined their mom and stepfather Blake at an event where Blake received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The siblings were also featured in heartwarming family reunion photos taken by their father, Gavin, during a visit to London earlier in the year. During their trip, they met their older sister, Daisy Lowe, and her newborn daughter, Ivy.
Kingston and his siblings divide their time between their mother and stepfather’s homes in Los Angeles and Oklahoma, as well as their father’s residence in LA. Gavin has spoken openly about his close bond with his children, emphasizing his commitment to continually improve his parenting skills over the years.
He described his kids as “funny and cool” and expressed his joy in spending quality time with them. He acknowledged the challenge of being a stepfather but underscored the rewarding experiences of being in their lives.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have also discussed their roles in raising Kingston and his brothers, emphasizing the importance of their family life over their careers. Blake highlighted his dedication to co-parenting the boys and the significance of this new chapter in his life, prioritizing his role as a father.
Being a stepfather isn’t without its challenges, as Blake candidly acknowledged, but he remains grateful for the meaningful connection he shares with Kingston and his siblings, who have become an integral part of his life.
