Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos epitomize relationship goals! This incredible couple has celebrated 27 years of marriage, and their love for each other shines through whether they’re co-hosting LIVE or simply enjoying their downtime together.
On a recent International Coffee Day, Kelly, 52, took to Instagram to share a delightful carousel of photos, capturing her and Mark savoring their coffee dates. Her caption playfully read: “We coffee, internationally #internationalcoffeeday.”
This heartwarming post stirred reactions from her 3.4 million followers, who couldn’t help but express their admiration. One follower gushed, “Sweetest couple!” Another chimed in with, “I love you both, awesome couple.” A third admirer added, “My wife and I have enjoyed the show more than ever, Kelly and Mark together are perfect, in so many ways!”
The couple’s love story began in 1995 when Kelly first set eyes on Mark during his audition for All My Children. For her, it was a case of love at first sight. In an interview on Lunch with Bruce, Kelly revealed, “When I saw him… I saw my entire future with him flash before [my eyes] — like I saw it. And I don’t believe in any of that, and now I do because of that moment.”
Mark, on the other hand, admitted on Huffpost Live in 2014, “I thought [Kelly] was adorable, hot, and sexy and all that stuff… But I was very focused – I didn’t really think I had a chance with her, so I wasn’t really focused on that.”
Despite Mark’s initial unawareness of Kelly’s interest, their feelings for each other quickly became evident. By February 1996, the soap opera stars publicly announced they were dating while attending the Soap Opera Digest Awards in Los Angeles.
Less than a year later, Kelly and Mark impulsively tied the knot in Las Vegas in May 1996, followed by a romantic honeymoon in Rome and Capri. Today, they are proud parents to three children: Michael, 25; Lola, 22; and Joaquin, 20. In interviews, the couple continues to shower each other with affection.
In 2019, Mark described Kelly as someone he was still “crazy about” after nearly 25 years of marriage. He praised her patience and tolerance as the true secret to their lasting union.
More recently, they shared their excitement about co-hosting LIVE. Mark joined Kelly after Ryan Seacrest’s departure, and they couldn’t be happier. Kelly expressed her joy, saying, “To have Mark join me at that desk every day, it’s a dream come true. We’ve been so uniquely blessed.” Mark echoed her sentiment, saying, “I had filled in so many times and had a blast every single time. Some people would die to have this opportunity. No one does it like she does… I can’t think of anybody that I feel more safe with, and protected by, than Kelly.”
