Latest Celebrity News – Lara Spencer is radiant in loved-up photo with husband amid break from GMA
Lara Spencer, the anchor of Good Morning America, is currently enjoying a well-deserved break from her hectic schedule. She and her husband, Richard McVey, have embarked on a travel adventure together.
This journey marks a significant moment for the couple, as they recently became empty nesters when Lara’s youngest daughter, Katharine, headed off to college. Despite the empty nest, Lara managed to visit both her daughter and her older son, Duff, at their respective colleges over the weekend.
Now, Lara and Richard are taking some time for themselves and have gone on a weekend getaway. Lara shared a heartwarming selfie of the two on her Instagram, capturing their joyous expressions.
Their recent travels have had a collegiate theme. After visiting Duff at Southern Methodist University in Texas and surprising Katharine at Vanderbilt University for her birthday, Lara and Richard made their way to Notre Dame. During their visit to Notre Dame, they found themselves cheering for Vanderbilt’s lacrosse team in a game against Notre Dame.
Lara enthusiastically captioned her Instagram post with “Go DORES!” along with hashtags like “anchor down” and “vandy lax.” Her followers flooded the comments section with compliments and well wishes, celebrating the lovely selfie.
Lara is a proud mother to Duff, 21, and Kat, 19, whom she shares with her ex-husband, CNN reporter David Haffenreffer. After her marriage to David from 2000 to 2015, Lara remarried Richard McVey, an entrepreneur and CEO of MarketAxess Holdings. Their wedding took place in Vail, Colorado, on September 1, 2018.
Although they became empty nesters this year, Lara and Richard enjoy the company of their adorable dogs in their home in Greenwich, Connecticut.
