Lily Allen unfollows husband David Harbour seven weeks after loved-up anniversary post
Lily Allen has recently made a surprising move on Instagram, unfollowing her husband, David Harbour, known for his role in “Stranger Things,” just seven weeks after celebrating their third wedding anniversary.
The 38-year-old “Smile” singer has been residing in the UK, where she’s been starring in the West End production of “The Pillowman.” Meanwhile, her husband, David, remains in New York and continues to follow her on the social media platform.
Back on September 7th, Lily posted a heartwarming photo of herself and David on their wedding day, commemorating their three years of marriage. She accompanied the image with a touching caption: “Three years with this guy, the second-best decision I ever made. The first was that dress.”
Just last month, the couple appeared happier than ever when they attended the Chanel and W magazine dinner in New York City. Lily was even captured beaming while snapping a picture of her husband with a digital camera at the event.
The couple tied the knot in 2020 in Las Vegas after a whirlwind romance. David has embraced his role as a loving stepfather to Lily’s two daughters, Ethel and Marnie, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Sam Cooper. Lily candidly shared how the pandemic positively influenced her relationship with David during an appearance on Alan Carr’s “Life’s a Beach” podcast.
She revealed, “When the pandemic happened, my now-husband and I were in the early stages of our relationship. He lived in New York, and as they began to shut things down, we’d been together for about six months, but we hadn’t reached the stage of moving in together.”
Lily continued, “Given the circumstances, I didn’t want him to be alone in his flat for an extended period. I thought, ‘How long will this last?’ So, I told him to get on a plane and come over. I told the kids, ‘This is mommy’s friend, and he doesn’t have anyone to stay with, so he’s going to live with us.’ We ended up living together as a family for a good six months.”
She concluded, “If it hadn’t been for that opportunity to test out living together as a family, we wouldn’t have had the chance to consider moving to New York. The pandemic gave us that unique experience and the courage to take the risk.”
