Scarlett Johansson reveals she ‘misses’ Colin Jost as he returns to Saturday Night Live
Scarlett Johansson recently opened up about her married life with Colin Jost as the comedian made a return to Saturday Night Live after the show’s hiatus since April.
As the actress graced the red carpet for the 17th Annual Golden Heart Awards by God’s Love We Deliver, she was asked about her feelings regarding her husband’s return to work.
“I really miss him,” she confessed during an Access Hollywood interview. “You know, he has such crazy work hours, but I’m thrilled that he’s back doing what he loves. It brings happiness to our household.”
Scarlett mentioned that Colin and the SNL team were brimming with excitement for their first show back. “Clearly, everyone is overjoyed to be back at work,” she said. “It’s something the entire cast and crew have been eagerly anticipating. It’s like a glimmer of hope amidst everything else happening.”
The return of Saturday Night Live might have raised questions as SAG-AFTRA was in the midst of a strike. However, SAG clarified that any SAG-AFTRA members participating in the show, whether as hosts, guests, or cast members, were not in violation of strike rules.
SAG stated, “SAG-AFTRA members appearing on Saturday Night Live are operating under the Network Code agreement, which is not subject to our current strike. They are fulfilling their contractual obligations and have our support.”
Scarlett and Colin’s journey started in 2017 when she appeared on an episode of SNL alongside the Weekend Update co-host. They had known each other since 2006. The couple tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their son, Cosmo, in 2021. Scarlett also has a daughter, Rose, from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.
During the summer, Scarlett revealed that her baby became quite the attraction while she was on the set of Asteroid City. She humorously commented, “I wasn’t the popular one; it was the baby. People were more excited to see the baby than me. They’d say, ‘Oh, it’s you. Where’s the baby?'”
