Susan Sarandon Makes Cameo in Son’s Satirical ‘Day in the Life of a Nepo Baby’ Instagram Video
Jack Robbins, the son of Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon, recently shared a satirical video on Instagram titled “A Day in the Life of a Nepo Baby,” which quickly went viral.
In this comedic video posted last week, the spotlight is on Robbins, 34, who cleverly portrays both himself and his famous mother, 77. Through hilarious scenes, he playfully pokes fun at his own relationship with his mother and her celebrity status.
The video begins with Robbins introducing himself and providing insight into his morning routine, which includes various wellness practices such as meditation and stretching. Alongside his bed, there is a prominently displayed photo of his mother, which he amusingly references during his meditation session. Adopting a light-hearted approach, Robbins humorously checks his phone multiple times while meditating, remarking on the importance of this practice to kick-start his day.
Following his meditation, Robbins moves on to take a shower. Within this scene, he showcases his quirky shower artwork, featuring a photograph of his father, Tim Robbins, during a memorable moment from the iconic film, The Shawshank Redemption.
By adding a touch of humor and cleverness, Robbins provides an entertaining glimpse into his unique perspective as a “Nepo Baby” while affectionately satirizing his relationship with his famous mother, Susan Sarandon.
Sharing a close bond, Susan Sarandon, 65, and Tim Robbins have two sons together, Jack, 31, and Miles, as well as Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri, 38, from a previous relationship with Franco Amurri.
In the video, Sarandon makes her appearance when Robbins arrives at her apartment, capturing her reaction with his camera and playfully zooming in on her slightly annoyed demeanor.
Teasingly, Robbins quips, “My mom is always thrilled to see me.”
He proceeds to showcase Sarandon’s apartment and proudly displays her numerous awards.
Expressing his gratitude for his mother’s guidance in both the film industry and life, Robbins acknowledges, “I am so thankful for everything my mom, Susan Sarandon, has taught me. I also enjoy posing with her awards, accomplishments, and the keys to the city.”
In a light-hearted voice-over, Robbins jokingly recounts their “typical” disagreements. “Then, like clockwork, we end up arguing about money and my inheritance,” he remarks.
During a playful exchange between the mother and son, Robbins humorously shouts at Sarandon, “It’s not your damn money anymore! It’s mine!”
The scene transitions to Sarandon sleeping face down on her couch while Robbins shares, “And after that, my mom usually takes a nap.
But the day doesn’t conclude there. Robbins explains that after his mother’s nap, they partake in a unique ceremony where they hide in a dark closet, with Robbins attired in a black velvet robe.
He jokingly adds, “And then comes my ceremonial moment, where I extract as much talent from my mother’s soul as possible. Yum! And then it’s off to bed.”
Through light-hearted banter and comical moments, Robbins offers a humorous glimpse into his relationship with his famous mother while sharing amusing facets of their daily lives.
