The Crown season 6: first look pictures of Princess Diana’s final days with William and Harry
The Crown has unveiled a sneak peek of Season Six, Part One, offering a glimpse of Princes William and Harry alongside their beloved mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in the lead-up to her tragic passing in 1997. These captivating images, shared by Netflix, also feature Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, enjoying her final vacation with her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, aboard a luxurious superyacht before the fateful car crash in August 1997.
Elizabeth Debicki, portraying Diana, shared her thoughts on the final season, stating, “Portraying those days has been a truly unique challenge as an actor. I wholeheartedly placed my trust in Peter’s emotional blueprint, and it made profound emotional sense to me, given the devastating and complex nature of the events. Khalid Abdalla, who plays Dodi Fayed, added, “Being part of The Crown has been the greatest honor of my life. Playing Dodi is a privilege.”
Dominic West, in the role of Charles, offered his perspective, “I believe there is a real depth of sadness and compassion in him. What’s remarkable about The Crown is the insight it provides into the private lives of these public figures. I played him as someone who is emotionally quite sensitive in private. I had conversations with individuals who had met him, and they all had warm, kind words to share about him.”
A close-up shot reveals Imelda Staunton as the late Queen, appearing profoundly troubled. Discussing her portrayal, she mentioned, “I’ve inhabited this character for quite some time, so if anything, I felt more at ease this time around. I admire her composure and her ability to remain unshaken by the constant turmoil that surrounded her throughout her life.”
The images also introduce Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed, who expressed his affection for the role, saying, “I adore this character. I genuinely love him and relish playing him. In this series, he is depicted as a multifaceted, human character. He can be tough, even harsh at times, but he’s also quite funny and childlike, especially with his son. The audience will witness his deep love for his son.”
Fans can eagerly anticipate the first half of the final season, set to premiere on November 16, with part two following shortly on December 14.
