The Marvels Final Trailer Includes Surprise Cameo from Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie Character
Tessa Thompson surprised fans with her unexpected appearance in ‘The Marvels,’ hitting theaters this Friday. Marvel Studios dropped their last trailer for the film, revealing Thompson, aged 40, reprising her role as Valkyrie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This new trailer takes a different approach from its predecessors, showcasing scenes from previous Marvel Studios films, including various Avengers movies and the original Captain Marvel. It then teases the arrival of Zawe Ashton’s villain, Dar-Benn, seemingly from an alternate universe.
The trailer also features Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury seeking assistance from Carol Danvers, portrayed by Brie Larson, in what he dubs “one last fight.” During this crucial moment, Valkyrie, portrayed by Tessa Thompson, offers her advice to Carol.
Notably, Thompson’s last appearance as Valkyrie was in 2022’s ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ where her character took on the responsibility of leading New Asgard on Earth. Her involvement in ‘The Marvels’ was not previously announced by director Nia DaCosta.
