Travis Kelce Makes Taylor Swift-Style Friendship Bracelets in NFL ‘Easter Eggs’ Cartoon
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to host the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Day, adding a festive twist to the NFL lineup. In a playful nod to the holiday spirit, the NFL unveiled a cartoon graphic promoting their Christmas Day Games for Nickelodeon’s NFL on Nickmas. Within this whimsical portrayal, the league highlights the romantic connection between the 34-year-old Chiefs star and global pop sensation Taylor Swift.
The animated depiction features a cartoon version of Kelce seated alongside a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, adorned in his iconic No. 87 jersey. Engaged in the creative act of stringing beads for friendship bracelets, the scene pays homage to Swift’s lyrics from her song “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” where fans brought the concept of making and trading Swift-themed bracelets to life at her concerts.

Swift’s dedicated fanbase, fondly known as Swifties, played a pivotal role in making the trend a sartorial staple at her shows. Interestingly, it was this very trend that initially sparked Swift’s interest in Kelce before the two embarked on their romantic journey.
In a charming episode of his podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” the Chiefs star revealed his plan to give Swift his phone number on a friendship bracelet during one of her concerts. However, the opportunity eluded him due to the singer’s post-show voice-saving routine.
Despite the missed opportunity, Kelce’s public shoutout on his podcast proved effective, prompting Swift to reach out to him shortly after. The two started hanging out, creating a significant period of private time that remained unknown to the public, allowing them to forge a deeper connection.
As part of the Christmas Day festivities, the NFL’s Nickmas cartoon not only promotes the Chiefs’ matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders but also adds a touch of whimsy to star players like Patrick Mahomes. The cartoon features Mahomes flying towards a Christmas tree, gift in hand, while a playful depiction of the Raiders’ Maxx Crosby attempts a tackle.
Other Chiefs players, including Isiah Pacheco, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Christopher Deshun Jones, share the animated spotlight. On the opposing side, Davante Adams, Amik Robertson, and Josh Jacobs represent the Las Vegas Raiders.
With home-field advantage at Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs are coming off a triumphant 27-17 win over the New England Patriots, creating anticipation and excitement for the upcoming Christmas Day game.
