Travis Kelce spends the night with Taylor Swift before Kansas City Chiefs game
Speculations are swirling around Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, amid his recent arrival at a New Jersey hotel. He was spotted driving Taylor Swift‘s Range Rover and was believed to have spent the night at the pop star’s apartment.
Travis, 33, arrived at the Envue Hotel in Weehawken around 1 pm on a Sunday, just hours before the Chiefs’ highly anticipated game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, scheduled for 8:20 pm. This arrival has ignited curiosity, not only among football enthusiasts but also among Taylor Swift’s massive fanbase, known as Swifties, who speculate that the megastar might be cheering for the Chiefs from the sidelines.
The day before his hotel arrival, Travis was seen in Manhattan with Taylor Swift. When he returned to the hotel, he discreetly entered through a side entrance with the assistance of a hotel staffer. Despite driving Swift’s SUV, Travis attempted to maintain a low profile. A fervent fan, sporting Swiftie attire, waited outside with her bulldog, hoping to catch a glimpse of what could potentially be a high-profile couple.
Rumors about Taylor’s potential appearance at MetLife Stadium have added to the excitement, especially given that she performed three sold-out nights at the same venue during her Eras Tour earlier in May.
To further fuel speculation, Taylor was seen seated next to Travis’ mother, Donna, in an executive suite during a recent Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Post-game, she left the venue alongside Travis.
The evening prior, Taylor enjoyed quality time with friends Blake Lively and Sophie Turner in New York City, dining at the popular Soho restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato. Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Patrick Mahomes (Travis’ teammate), also joined the group.
Emilio’s Ballato is owned by Emilio Vitolo Jr., a chef known for his past romantic relationship with actress Katie Holmes.
Taylor and Blake, who share a strong friendship, were spotted hand-in-hand as they headed to the restaurant. Earlier that day, Taylor had attended the seventh birthday celebration of Blake’s daughter, Inez, with husband Ryan Reynolds. Their close bond is emphasized by Taylor’s 2020 song, “Betty,” named after Blake and Ryan’s third child.
Notably, Taylor’s friendship with Sophie Turner is blossoming, even as Sophie goes through a divorce from Joe Jonas, a former flame of Taylor’s. Although Taylor briefly dated Joe in 2008, she has written several songs believed to be about him, including the pointed “Better Than Revenge.”
