After approximately two weeks following its launch in Indonesia and Brazil, TikTok Music, the subscription-based music streaming service, has expanded its availability to Australia, Mexico, and Singapore.
A select group of users from these three countries have received invitations to participate in a closed beta test, granting them the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary three-month trial of TikTok Music. The regular monthly subscription for TikTok Music is priced at S$9.90, with discounted rates of S$4.98 per month for university students and S$16.98 per month for family plans that accommodate up to six accounts.
TikTok Music sets itself apart as a unique music service, combining the influential music discovery features found on TikTok with an extensive music streaming library featuring millions of tracks from thousands of artists.
The service operates through a standalone app available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By linking the app to their TikTok accounts, users can easily listen to, share, and download music directly through the social media platform. Additionally, TikTok Music permits users to import their existing music libraries, download songs for offline playback, create collaborative playlists, view real-time lyrics, and search for songs based on their lyrics.
Given the potential future release of TikTok Music to the general public, it could emerge as a formidable contender to other music streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
